Architectural project

AT Arquitetura

A special project, on an important corner in the most sophisticated neighborhood in Porto Alegre. A contemporary furniture and decoration store for special customers.

OCCA Moderna has architectural differentials such as metallic structure, ribbed slab, exposed concrete and a VIROC panels facade.

The materials that make up the work were intelligently specified in a project according to its technical characteristics. The ribbed concrete slab works very well as the foundation of the store and the pillars are geometrically located according to the parking spaces.

The metal structure allows large spans, besides being “removable”: if a new development is installed on the ground, in the future, the structure can be reused and readapted for a new use.

The external closure follows the same concept: bolted plates, installed in a modular form, which can be removed for new use, if necessary. The exposed installations facilitate maintenance and eventual modifications.

The constructive challenge of MSR was to face the different stages of the work while maintaining a constant pace and paying attention to the deadline.

A underground floor, with large containment curtains, was built. After this stage, the metallic structure was started, followed by the enveloping of the structure and final finishes.

Those who pass by the store are impressed by the architectural insertion of this new AT Arquitetura project executed by MSR Engenharia, which has integrated very well with the pre-existing surroundings.
